In what is surely a bit less than breaking news…

The Appraisal Subcommittee today announced its new Executive Director, Jim Park. According to the press release, Mr. Park has more than 23 years of mortgage banking and appraisal experience. From the release: “During his extensive career, he has held executive management and leadership roles at several financial institutions. He also served for four years as the Director of Research and Technical Issues at The Appraisal Foundation. Mr. Park holds a B.A. in organizational communications from the University of Colorado and a certified general appraiser credential in the Commonwealth of Virginia.”

Congratulations, Mr. Park!

    Sounds like this guy is an AVM specialist with a background in big banking.
    I see no hope here.

    Do you think He will address: the AMC doesn’t really HAVE TO PAY for what they order and they have NO RULES, How about BPOs instead of real valuation estimates OR will they get to blame the ‘bad’ Appraiser when the property is NOT fairly valuated…again. UNbeLIEVABLE that the feds are allowing anything BUT real property valuation reports with INSPECTIONS…crazy
